“The Uprising: Wives on Strike 3” Hits ₦10 Million in Voucher Sales

The third installment of the Wives on Strike franchise, The Uprising: Wives on Strike, has made a strong debut, earning ₦10 million in voucher sales within just two days of its release. Director Omoni Oboli celebrated the success in a joint post with the film’s distributors, Nile Entertainment.

“My people, we have sold ₦10 million on our vouchers alone and counting. This is massive! You made this happen! Because of you, so many people will get to watch The Uprising for free! Thank you, my Besties, and everyone for showering Wives on Strike 3 with the love it deserves,” Oboli wrote.

Earlier this month, Nile Entertainment introduced a voucher system, allowing moviegoers to pre-order tickets before the premiere.

The Uprising is a satire that tells the story of a female local government leader who grapples with the chaos of newfound power while managing her personal life. The film features an ensemble cast including Chioma Akpotha, Uche Jombo, Omoni Oboli, Ufuoma McDermott, Hilda Dokubo, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (KieKie), and May Yul-Edochie.
