Tems Emerges Winner Of 67th Grammy Awards Best African Music Performance

Temilade Openiyi, a Nigerian female singer who is famously known on the stage as Tems has emerged as the Best African Music Performance with her Love Me Jeje song at the 67th Grammy Awards

The talented female artist defeated fellow African artists, including:

  • Tomorrow – Yemi Alade
  • MMS – Asake ft. Wizkid
  • Sensational – Chris Brown ft. Davido & Lojay
  • Higher – Burna Boy

This victory makes it the second Grammy Award win for Tems.

Tyla, a South African singer, won the first edition of this category last year with her popular song, ‘Water.’

Tems was nominated in three categories at the Grammy Awards this year, bringing her career total to eight. The categories include;

  • Best Global Music Album (Born in the Wild)
  • Best R&B Song** (Burning)

The 67th Grammy Awards ceremony was held on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
