Spyro Reveals He Charges N20 Million To Perform

During an interview with Echo Room, Spyro, a Nigerian singer officially known as Oludipe David, recently revealed that he takes N20 million to perform on stages in Nigeria.
While the interview was ongoing, Spyro also talked about his beef with Ubi Franklin, a popular music manager and Davido associate. He stated that their conflict was generated by a disagreement over payment for a performance.
Spyro recounted that Ubi approached him regarding a performance where Davido was supposed to entertain at Iyanya’s birthday. Ubi informed him that after Davido’s set, they would each be paid N5,000 for their participation.
“I called him to the side. I said, ‘Bro, I don’t charge 5k; the least I charge in Nigerian currency is N20 million.
“On getting there, David was on stage; he came down from the stage, and I was immediately called up.
“I could not decline at that moment because there were lots of dignitaries there, and afterwards I had to dig it out with Ubi for my pay,” he stated.
In his explanation, the singer told the Echo Room that the popular music manager contacted him regarding a performance where Afrobeat legend Davido was scheduled to perform at Iyanya’s birthday. He mentioned that Ubi told him that after Davido’s set, each of them would be paid N5,000 for their participation.
Many often refer to Ubi Franklin as the personal assistant and caretaker of Davido.
