Skales: “Burna Boy Did Not Revive My Career”
Nigerian singer and rapper Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known as Skales, is fired up as he responds to a social media user who claimed that Burna Boy revived his career. The controversy began when an overly enthusiastic fan commented on one of Skales’ posts, labeling his career as “dead” and crediting its resurgence to Burna Boy’s involvement.
The fan stated:
“This is the more reason why everyone hates you, mf. Burna Boy was part of the people that helped your dead career.”
In response, Skales firmly dismissed the assertion, making it clear that the Grammy winner did not play a role in his success.
He stated:
“Listen, I will always defend myself. I love Burna, but don’t ever say he helped me. No one helped me! Only my fans and God’s grace. We do collaborations that benefit us all. If it doesn’t benefit us, we wouldn’t be performing for our different audiences.”
