Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Submits Sexual Harassment Petition Against Senate President Godswill Akpabio

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Kogi Central senatorial district senator, dropped a formal sexual harassment petition on Tuesday against Godswill Akpabio, the Nigerian Senate President.

The Kogi Senator submitted the petition on the Senate floor after the plenary resumed. Before the submission, the Senate announced that it was not investigating the allegations against the Senate President because a former petition had not been filed within the Senate.

Those at the National Assembly on Tuesday saw Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan in the morning within the Assembly, accompanied by her husband.

In follow-up of the situation, protests have hit Abuja, where the protesters are calling for the resignation of the Senate President.
