In a surprising turn of events, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has recounted an incident in which he was allegedly chased out of the Oluwo of Iwo’s palace, led by Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi. This revelation was made in a viral video that has ignited discussions about the dynamics between these two prominent monarchs in Osun State.
Ooni Ogunwusi shared his experience during a visit to the Oluwo’s palace, explaining that it ended in an unexpected confrontation. “When I visited Oluwo, he chased me out like a child. Since that incident, I have maintained my distance from him,” the Ooni stated, shedding light on his limited interactions with the Oluwo.
While addressing calls for reconciliation, the Ooni expressed caution, stating, “Now that you people are urging me to visit him again, what if he does the same?” This reluctance suggests he is not eager to risk a repeat of the previous confrontation.
