Man Uses Money For Naming Ceremony To Conduct DNA Test
Nigerians have been greeted with surprise as a man revealed to netizens that he used the funds for the naming ceremony of his new baby to conduct a DNA test to ascertain the paternity of the child.
The man explained in a post that he shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account that his wife initially did not want to go with him to the hospital to conduct the test, but she finally followed him after some discussion.
In the post, he shared details of his actions and the age of his child. His statement read: “This month will mark my baby’s 8th month. I conducted my baby’s DNA test six months ago. Omo, I won’t lie; I haven’t done the naming ceremony because I used the money for the DNA test. When I saw the results, I noticed how my woman was looking at me with bad eyes, but in my mind, I’m a happy man.”
The shocking news immediately went viral on Twitter, causing a lot of reactions from users of social media.
He added, “At first, she didn’t want to answer me, but once I made allegations that the child wasn’t mine, that’s why she was refusing the DNA, she immediately started crying and followed me.”
So many of the social media users went straight into the man’s comment section as they expressed their concerns, ranging from criticizing his actions to some commending him.
