LASU Demands Justice For Murdered Graduate

Lagos State University, fondly called LASU, has demanded immediate justice for a former student of the institution, Adedamola Ogunbode, who was allegedly killed in Ojo, Lagos, by a prophet.

The state university expressed deep pain and sorrow regarding the painful loss of its former student, as issued in a statement by Deputy Registrar Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile.

28-year-old Adedamola Ogunbode graduated from the university’s Political Science Education and went missing on January 16, 2025, before his mutilated body was found by security agencies buried in the church compound.

The suspect has been picked up by the police, and he is providing the necessary information for investigations. LASU condemned the act, calling for swift justice for the deceased.

LASU also extended condolences to the family of the deceased, advising students to remain very observant, and reaffirmed its commitment to the safety of everyone on campus and cooperation with law enforcement.
