Kogi Vigilante Service Nabs Two Suspected Kidnappers in Swift Operation!

The Kogi State Vigilante Service has successfully apprehended two suspected kidnappers in the Dekina Local Government Area. The suspects, Umoru Garuba and Salifu Ademu, were caught in the Ibobo area of Abocho around 2 PM on October 21, 2024.

Villagers raised the alarm upon spotting the suspects, prompting a rapid response from the vigilant team, who were patrolling the area at the time. The vigilante team swiftly detained the suspects, who confessed to their involvement in the criminal activities.

Following their capture, the suspects were handed over to the Quick Response Unit (QRU) in Anyigba for further investigation and prosecution.

Spokesperson S.O Saka confirmed the arrest, stating that authorities are committed to ensuring justice is served while enhancing community safety. “Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available,” he assured.
