Highlife Legend Mike Ejeagha Buried A Day After Death

Legendary Nigerian highlife singer Gentleman Mike Ejeagha was buried 24 hours after he died.

The highlife artist passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 95, after he had a long battle with cancer.

Mike Ejeagha was buried a day after his death on Saturday, June 7, in Umuagba, Imezi-Owa, in Enugu State, his hometown.

The details were made known to the public by the late singer’s first son, Emmanuel Ejeagha, who said that the swift burial was to honor his father’s final wish.

“My father made a wish that he should be laid to rest 24 hours after death. And I reached out to my family. Even Governor Peter Mbah was aware, and they all consented that whatever his wish should be kept,” he told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.

He also mentioned that the details of the funeral will be revealed later.
