FCT Police Recover 125 Stolen Manhole Covers

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has recovered 125 stolen manhole covers in an intelligence-led operation on February 4, 2025, in Dei-Dei.

Officers found the stolen items hidden in a pit, following a tip-off from a vigilant informant. FCT Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh reiterated the command’s commitment to tackling infrastructure theft.

Commissioner of Police Olatunji Disu praised residents for their cooperation and urged continued vigilance. The command, in partnership with the Joint Task Force, recently intercepted vandalized public infrastructure.

Residents were encouraged to report suspicious activities using the provided emergency contact numbers.
