Davido Criticises Misleading Headline Linking Him to Kidnappers
David Adeleke, an Afrobeats superstar known by his stage name Davido, has expressed his anger and frustration regarding a misleading headline that falsely associated him with kidnappers.
The singer reacted to a blog on X that shared a video showing three suspected kidnappers arrested by authorities in Lagos, accompanied by the caption, “Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos,” which referred to the gang leader’s nickname.
The headline went viral as fans mistakenly believed it implicated Davido, the singer.
The Afrobeats musician, visibly distressed by the comments and unhappy with the misleading headline, cautioned those disseminating the news to refrain from doing so to avoid facing consequences for their actions.
The singer, who reposted the news, wrote on his official account:
“One day go be one day… Continue. My karma no dey always tey.”
