Asake’s Track Featured on NBA 2K25 Soundtrack Album
Afrobeats Secures Spot on NBA 2K25 Season 2 Soundtrack
Nigerian superstar Asake’s collaboration with British rapper Central Cee is featured on the NBA 2K25 Season 2 soundtrack. The track “Wave,” from Asake’s third album, Lungu Boy, is included alongside songs by American artists like Key Glock and Lil Pete.
Asake is the only Afrobeats artist on the album, marking another consecutive presence for the genre after Adekunle Gold’s “Party No Dey Stop,” featuring Zinoleesky, was included in the NBA 2K24 soundtrack.
Joining the ranks of Adekunle Gold and Burna Boy, Asake is among the Nigerian pop stars featured in the popular game’s soundtrack, which has sold over 9 million units in its 2024 version.
His inclusion highlights his status as a global superstar and one of Afrobeats’ most prolific hitmakers. Since breaking into the mainstream in 2022, Asake has achieved significant commercial success with multiple chart-topping and record-breaking hits.
Recently, Asake wrapped up his Lungu Boy tour, selling out major venues such as Madison Square Garden, Toyota Arena, TD Garden, and Capital One Arena. He also became only the third Nigerian artist to headline the O2 Arena.
